Driscoll Sponsors Bill to Study Blue Hills

The Blue Hills Reservation’s forest health has declined. New plant and tree growth on the forest floor is not occurring at the rate of previous years and decades past. There is uncertainty and some disagreement as to the causes of this phenomenon, and how to best proceed to ensure the health of the forest thrives in the long-term. The Blue Hills has not been recently studied in this regard. Driscoll Files MA Drug Price Relief Act

BOSTON – (1/23/17) State Representative William J. Driscoll, Jr.(D, Milton) recently filed HD.3197, “An Act Regarding Massachusetts Drug Price Relief.” This legislation prevents state administrative agencies and other state agencies from entering into any agreement with the manufacturer of any drug for the purchase of a prescribed drug “unless the net cost of the drug is the same as or less than the lowest price paid for the same drug by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs.” “It is my believe that preventing any further inflations for necessary medications from drug companies is one a key issue facing all residents of the Commonwealth as the cost of health insurance rises” said

Rep. Driscoll Meets with "A Better Blue Hills Coalition"

The Coalition includes organizations such as: Friends of the Blue Hills, Blue Hills Trailside Museum, Blue Hills Observatory, Friends of the Mounted Unit, Blue Hills Ski Area, and Brookwood Community Farm.
