Budget Update


BOSTON, JUL. 7 – A FY18 budget compromise was reached today between the Massachusetts House and Senate. State Representative Bill Driscoll Jr. was pleased to note that Randolph, Milton and the Blue Hills Reservation secured “several notable earmarks in the budget”, including:

  • $250,000 for the Blue Hills Trailside Museum

  • $100,000 for the Blue Hills Observatory

  • $30,000 for the new Randolph Economic Opportunity Center

  • $15,000 for safer Blue Hills Reservation trail crossings on routes 28 and 138

  • $30,000 for improvements to Andrews Park in Town of Milton

Representative Driscoll was quick to praise his colleagues, noting that the success was the result of a collaborative, legislative team effort between himself, State Senator Walter F. Timilty, State Representative Bill Galvin State Representative Dan Cullinane, State Representative Bruce J. Ayers, and State Representative Mark Cusack.
