Milton: Driscoll Cuts Ribbon with MBTA at Long-Awaited Project

Senator William J. Driscoll, Jr. (D-Milton) was pleased to join Phillip Eng, interim Secretary of Transportation for Massachusetts and the General Manager of the MBTA and colleagues in local and state government to celebrate the completion of the ADA-compliant Sloped Walkway Project at the Milton Trolley Stop.

The walkway installation marks both an important investment and positive milestone. This represents the first visible and major improvement made to the Mattapan Line since the refurbished trolleys began entering daily service several years ago.

Driscoll looks forward to welcoming the MBTA back for additional celebratory ribbon cuttings in the future as the stops and stations are renovated as part of the projects that will bring hundreds of millions of dollars in improvements to the overall service, accessibility and experience for riders all along the Mattapan Line.

The Senator thanks the MBTA and project partners who helped make this long-awaited project a reality.
