BRIDGEWATER – June 3, 2026 – Senator William J. Driscoll, Jr. (D-Milton) and Representative Dennis C. Gallagher (D-Bridgewater) are proud to announce a total of $320,000 allocated to the Town of Bridgewater through the 2026 Fair Share conference report. These annual Fair Share budgets enable legislators to make local education and transportation investments for the towns and cities in their districts. This directed spending allows Commonwealth cities and towns to address their specific needs that are of the highest priority.

The following funds are allocated for education-related programs and initiatives in Bridgewater through this conference report:

  • $250,000 to install a new water filtration system and other capital improvements at Edward J. O’Donoghue Middle School

  •  $50,000 for security, technology, and lighting improvements for the Bridgewater-Raynham regional school district

  • $20,000 for capital improvement projects in the Bridgewater-Raynham regional school district

“Working with local leaders to channel these Fair Share investments into their specific needs affirms that this tax revenue helps address priority projects in our communities in the best ways possible,” said Driscoll. “I am grateful to my colleague in the House, as well as to our partners in the Town for this collaborative work to deliver these crucial investments to Bridgewater.”

"I am grateful to have Senator Driscoll's partnership in helping us move Bridgewater forward with critical infrastructure needs,” said Gallagher. “Supporting our water and school infrastructure needs is a true priority of mine."

The 2026 Fair Share Budget now goes to the Governor for her signature.
